1) Oh man.. so in class, for my ASL 1 group, I was writing some grammar up on the board. I was TRYING to write "head tilts forward" and I forgot the l.... we all had a good laugh about that, lol.
2) For an activity for both my ASL 1 & 2 classes I had them draw a name from a bowl and they had to meet their "new" classmates. One kid drew my nickname from high school (Shaniqua) and asked if it was his name for the rest of the year. I signed, "no," and he frowned and said, "But I got such a great one!" LOL So I told him if he wanted...
3) My junior high kids were SO awesome today! I wrote up the steps for an activity we were doing (in ASL) and then wrote, "NO TALKING" and they did it! (My jhs kids two years ago weren't able to ever do that so I was very pleasantly surprised.) What a stellar bunch! (Not that the others weren't ... js)
4) I am seeing my weight loss and it's really exciting. (For those of you who have been in a long campaign, and suddenly you SEE what you've done.. awesome!)
5) A friend and I walked around the canyon - it was nice.
happiness quote:“You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be
bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for
it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled
instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and
leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to
the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.”
