(Welp, just when I thought I could remember this blog... lol)
1) My brother-in-law has cancer, but it's stage 2 and they think they can get it all out in surgery next month.
2) We were able to fast and pray as a family for him.
3) I got to spend time with my family yesterday to celebrate Andy and Ava's birthdays (though Ava's family wasn't able to come).
4) I was blessed that ends would meet and they are. I'm so grateful for that in this holiday season.
5) I bought OJ on Saturday and have some with me right now. It's so delicious! (I'm keeping all future colds away. After the THREE I've already had this year... no more!)
6) I got to hold Aspen yesterday. <3 <3 <3
7) I'm so grateful the snow is off the roads thus far.
8) I'm REALLY grateful that tomorrow is my last day of class for this first semester of grad school. WOOOO! Nearly made it through!
9) I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. They bless my life daily.
10) A friend of mine is helping me cut all negative ties in my life. I already feel so much lighter and free.

Now I'm Famous!
Well, that's not exactly true, lol. I spoke today in church and was asked for a copy of my talk, and someone asked if they could quote me. I'm NEARLY famous. HAHAHA
1) My talk went well - made all the people who came to hear me speak cry.
2) The bishop also said I did a wonderful job (more than once).
3) This week was rough pain-wise, but emotionally it was awesome.
4) I got an assignment done ahead of time (that's due in December) so I know there's a week that I don't have one paper to write. Woooo!
5) God is really watching out for me and over me. I feel so blessed.
6) I have a surgery scheduled for next month to get rid of my constant pain!
7) I am saving right now to pay the doctor and I have faith that my hospital bills will be manageable.
8) My parents are amazing and I'm so blessed to have them. They came to hear me speak today and my mom has been saving me leftovers each week. I still get to have her incredible cooking each week. They're so selfless and awesome.
9) I found a new show that's been pretty gnarly so far (Gotham).
10) I'm grateful to have money to buy good food and eat well. It makes such a huge difference!

Hardships turning around
1) I mentioned a rough patch I was going through a few posts ago. That rough patch was threatening to drown me. I am, now, happy to report that I feel amazing.
2) This is going to sound like a strange good thing.. but I'm glad I only threw up once today!
3) I got 80 pages of reading done (homework)! I have another 40... but at least I'm 2/3rds there!
4) I had incredible sleep last night. I can't remember my dreams - just deep solid sleep.
5) I have funny stories from my students again - from today: A male student today was saying lipreading was easy. He offered to demonstrate and asked me to mouth something. Of course I went with "antidisestablishmentarianism" and he said I was cheating and the word was too long. So I went with "watermelon." He goes, "Women!" "Ha! Nope. Watermelon." "That's pretty much the same thing." "Women and watermelon!?" "Ya, they're both juicy." 0.o So there you go my female friends, from the mouths of children (don't want to say "babes" in this scenario... lol).
6) From yesterday: Delicious irony - my student wrote "Je suis supide ne pas." (Meaning to write "je ne suis pas sTupide.")
7) I have amazing supportive parents and a mom I've talked to a couple times this week on the phone.
8) A few of my students were fake fighting over me today. It feels good to be loved!
9) I tweaked and turned in a MASSIVE assignment (took me 18 hours to do it) tonight. SO good to have that off my back!
10) I received a kind anonymous compliment on this blog. Thank you whoever you are! You made my evening. ^ - ^

2) I got to watch some BBT.
3) I had some delicious dal for dinner. Mmmm
4) Yoga was great today - my teacher said I was doing well. ^ - ^

The weekend approacheth
1) I'm so grateful I have a grant for grad school. It was not as much as I was told it would be (about half the amount), but it still means that I don't have to worry about one semester.
2) My students decorated me up with henna. It looks pretty great!
3) I wrote one message on my arm (with henna). I have some old scars from some traumas I went through many years ago. The old scars say "I'm not worth it." I wrote over them in henna, "Ma vie est belle." I did that for two reasons: 1) I am trying to get through another rough patch. 2) I don't want those old traumatic messages to control my current hardships. So I am telling myself and believing that my life is beautiful. I don't know that I can make it such, but I believe in an all-powerful God who can.
4) I have a new friend who is really kind and supportive.
5) One of my grad school professors is radically behind in her grading so she threw out one of our papers (we have one due every week). Wahoo!!! She also cancelled class over Thanksgiving. HUZZAH!!!

some connected for mere seconds, some connected for life,
some connected through knowledge, some through belief,
some connected through wisdom, some through Love, and some connected with no explanation at all. Yet, as spiritual beings having a human experience, we're all here for the sensations this reality or illusion has to offer. The best anyone can hope for is the right to be able to Live, Learn, Love then Leave. After that, reap the benefits of their own chosen existence in the hereafter by virtue of simply believing in what they believe. As for here, it took me a while but this progression helped me with my life: "I like myself. I Love myself. I am myself.” ― Stanley Victor Paskavich

Onward and upward!
1) I got to spend time with my family for my sister's birthday. It felt amazing. I love my family so much!
2) I have a lot of work to do for grad school, but I seem to have gotten into a rhythm now. Every other week I have two papers due and the off weeks I only have one paper due. So far I have been able (if even only by ten pm the night before) to keep up on my homework.
3) I am having a game night next Saturday and it sounds like a lot of people are coming!
4) I was able to pick up my place. There wasn't a TON of stuff around, but enough that I could tell I had had a hectic week. I feel a lot more peace when I am in a clean environment so I am feeling happy now!
5) I haven't had any of my papers graded yet (and I've turned in four!), but I am feeling pretty confident that I will do well because I worked hard on them.
6) I had a really great conversation with one of my professors this week and she gave me some GREAT advice for how to make my class into what I want it to be.
7) I put my first assignment and video lectures up on the class website and feeling awesome and tech savvy!
8) I am currently at home watching football. I'm so grateful it's football season!!!
9) I saw Dre (BFF) tonight at Red Robin. It was awesome to talk to her in person! <3
10) I am going to add an institute class to my schedule. (I'm not doing enough with yoga workouts, gym workouts, and three jobs... HAHAHA!)

Finding the peace
1) I did yoga nidra today and found peace. (The last time I did it I had a major panic attack, so it was nice to find peace below the surface with all the things I have going on.)
2) I had a delicious dinner (chili).
3) I've already started on my homework for next week. ^ - ^
4) I got A LOT done today including sending in my first mortgage payment. Woooo!
5) I'm being blessed with ideas for lessons. I am still working on improving them but at least I have ideas to move forward and save time for my homework.
6) I am not particularly enjoying being an adult (as in it's not fun to pay bills), but I am taking great satisfaction from being able to be self-sufficient. I'd love to have someone in my life who made things easier on me (well, I do have God and I don't want to negate the wonderful things He does for me), but the reality is I'm single. It's actually a blessing to not have to deal with the hassles of dating, right now, because I'm extremely busy!
7) I made a new friend! It's nice to have someone who wants to occasionally spend time with you and who understands life is busy. ^ - ^

Surviving grad school
1) So far, so good! Hahaha - but I had my first day of classes yesterday and I was both relieved (my professors are nice and very knowledgeable) and stressed (of course the syllabus contains the entire semester and all the assignments).
2) I woke up early this morning and put my time to use! I got some things ready for school and ate breakfast.
3) I can't remember if I already said... but I passed both the French and Spanish Praxis tests! Wooo!
4) I got home safely last night - class ends at 2145.
5) I am planning a game night this Saturday. It will be good to see familiar faces and get in some play time!
happiness quote: “Sky is not a limit for me; because I have no limit for myself in life. Because life is a world full of risk taking and possibilities. A month late...
So it turns out that if you move and neglect to set up internet beforehand, it takes a bit to get it in place. BUT...
1) I AM A HOMEOWNER!!!!!
2) I moved into my new place - my family helped (special mentions to my mom and my youngest brother).
3) My place looks REALLY great - now that it's all put together. ^ - ^
4) I'm all unpacked and settled in.
5) I've met some people in my new ward.
6) I bore my testimony yesterday at church and some people thanked me.
7) I have two dates tomorrow.. both at Japanese restaurants. LOL
8) I had some delicious lemonade today.
9) I bought some Spicy V8 and grapefruit juice. So yummy!
10) My place is always clean. I'm the only one who lives here so it stays spotless! I LOVE it!
11) I PASSED MY PLT!!! Wooooo!
12) I took my French and my Spanish tests - waiting on scores.
13) It's raining today (my favorite weather)! My life is so awesome!!!

Memory returned!
I have to write this before work because I will be getting off after midnight.
1) I was able to read 200+ pages yesterday and duplicated that today. I love reading!
2) I'm on book 11 in the series I'm reading. I found out yesterday that the whole series has more than 11,000 pages. I've got three more books after this one.
3) Tonight is the rooftop concern series again which means my shift will FLY. Last time we had a line the entire night. Half the time it was out the door!
4) I got to play lots of guitar today.
5) I FINALLY got help on put my units into our system. That means I can put my unit and lesson plans in NOW and have the entire year sketched out. Wooooo!

Forgotten!
With all the changes in my life, I completely forgot this blog existed for a minute there. Sorry!
1) I have put an offer on a property and am set to close in two weeks. I can't wait to become a home owner!
2) I applied to grad school and am excited to see where that takes me.
3) My guitar teacher called me a genius today. *beams*
4) I got a part time summer job working for a Belgian restaurant. It's been really fun and it's helping me pay my bills.
5) I have been going to the gym and doing yoga. It has finally started to catch up to me and I had a reset point (10 lbs lower) at the plasma center. Wooooo!
6) I got a gift of chips and salsa from my lender. ^ - ^
7) This month they are doing an extra $10/week at the plasma center for my second donation. I'm grateful to have a little extra to put towards my debts.
8) I have been making recordings for my French classes to help them with their pronunciation.
9) I was blessed last month and had just enough to pay off my credit card bill (which ended up being very steep due to some unforeseen circumstances).
10) My brother is going to Japan with me next year! I can't wait to show it to someone who truly loves me and will be happy to be with me. ^ - ^
I'm so blessed and eager to see the miracles that God is working in my life. So much has changed in such a short time. I'm so glad to feel like I'm moving forward again.

2) I found out I'm already getting a raise! On day 4!
3) We got a lot of tips tonight. :D
4) I got to go to my nephew's baptism.
5) A friend of mine was making me laugh today because he told me about a dream he had that I was killed by penguins.
6) Next week I'm working only two shifts. Whew. They are weekend shifts, but it'll be nice to have more weekday nights to myself.
7) I got two lovely recommendation letters and only need one more for the grad program to which I'm applying. ^ - ^

Another week
1) I got the summer job I wanted! I'm working at a Belgian restaurant in Provo and having a blast.
2) I trained Tuesday and Wednesday and am working the weekend rushes!
3) My boss was originally going to close at 1h00, but thankfully he closed at our regular weekend time of 23h00.
4) I finally made it to the post office and sent out some mail I've been meaning to send for AGES.
5) I got to spend time with my sister, brother, and BIL today.
6) I slept on their couch! LOL ^ I have been so exhausted and I fell asleep at 3h00.
7) I make tips at my restaurant job.
8) I got to be cashier for a bit while my boss was gone (usually he takes over that post) and I really enjoyed it. I love talking to people.
9) My new guitar song is Little Boxes. It's easy and fun to play.
10) My mom made me a chef salad for dinner. It was delicious!

The last week of school
1) I made it!!! ^
2) I went to Lagoon on Wednesday with my sister and BIL. We ran into two of my students and were able to go on some rides with them. It was really fun. ^ - ^
3) Today I was able to play a lot of guitar (so much so that my fingers are fairly sore) and it felt awesome.
4) I did my first 5K today! I managed to hurt my ankle yesterday somehow but I went and walked it and got a time of 56 minutes. I am really proud of that! Next year I'll do even better.
5) I was able to donate plasma today. I think I've got this hematocrit thing figured out!
6) I had my blood drawn today and I'll get too many out of range hematocrits, but I feel pretty awesome... why?
7) I have a job interview on Monday! I'm super psyched about that!!
8) The job is at a Belgian restaurant. I put in my cover letter that I speak French. It's a part time summer position.. I want it very badly!
9) I am doing awesome with my yoga.
10) I am making new friends. (I haven't been OUT with anyone since my birthday in February. :/ That's been really rough for me. So, I am trying to be proactive and find friends.)
happiness quote: “When I was in Piazza di Spagna, in Rome, I watched (along with others) how many locals came to drink water from the fountain there. The people beside me said to each other "Oh my goodness, how disgusting, people just drink water from anywhere," while the whole time, I was thinking "Oh my goodness, how wonderful, people can drink water from anywhere." We can be in the exact same place, looking at the exact same thing, but see that thing in a completely different way. You can go around the world, and go to all the beautiful places, but never be happy, because happiness is something that you bring inside of you, it is not where you are or what you are looking at, but it is how you are and how you look at.” ― C. 4) My students are so awesome! We got yearbooks today and I asked a bunch of them to sign mine and they wrote some really great stuff to me.
5) My life is moving forward. It's not what I necessarily wanted or expected ever getting from life, but it's nice to have a direction again.

7) I had a good workout at the gym today.

happiness quote: “I was entirely happy. Perhaps we feel like that when we die and become a part of something entire, whether it is sun and air. or goodness and knowledge. At any rate, that is happiness; to be dissolved into something complete and great. When it comes to one, it comes as naturally as sleep.” ― Willa Cather, My Antonia

1) I love my Tuesdays - they are my temple days. <3
2) The teachers loved my haircut! Eric said it frames my face. ^ - ^ That's why I picked it!
3) I may get to teach Spanish 3 next year! That would be awesome. :D
4) Uncle Craig said I look awesome. My exercise is paying off - I've seen it and now others are noticing. He was highly complimentary. :D
5) My students are so awesome. I really love talking to them.

Woooooo!
1) I did Bakasana in yoga today! Eeeeeee! I used to be able to do it when I was a kid, and now I can do it again. It makes me ridiculously happy. It shows me how much strength I've built and ...
2) my hard work is paying off!
3) I was able to donate this morning.
4) My hematocrit was 40!!!
5) Life is great! There are big issues I don't know how to handle, but the things I can control are going so well and I'm very appreciative of that.

Back at it
1) I made it through today. For the most part, the students were kind and worked with me.
2) My Spanish 2 students are champs and I love it when they ask for my help.
3) I only have 13 days left of teaching!
4) I have 11 days left of snack duty (my job for the afterschool clubs).
5) I'm going to try to donate tomorrow (and hopefully I can because then I can get my 6 donations for the month and will get a bonus and a small prize)! Also - I posted two days in a row! Score!

Can't keep me down!
1) I survived the weekend (working on Friday 8 am to Saturday 1:40 am, raging migraine that made me throw up, and an ER visit).
2) I got to go to the Nihon Matsuri. ^ ; ^
3) My ER visit was less painful then the other times I've been (I got in quickly and was helped quickly as well).
4) I got to watch my mom help another woman. She and her daughter had fallen down the stairs and she was panicking. My mom parked her car so she would bring herself and the 18 month old in. (Turns out she just lost a baby and was frantic about her daughter dying. :c) I'm so glad I got to see my mother in action. She's such an amazing woman. She asked me if it was ok if she left me and went to help. <3
5) I got to watch a movie with my mom, Nadia, and Jean-Mi yesterday night. We watched a movie I just bought (edited) and we really enjoyed it. It was a good thriller. :)

Fantastic news!
1) I'm FINALLY finished with my certification class. I finished yesterday and now I'm back. (Sorry for the neglect - I've been busy out of my mind!)
2) I got to see Kenna, Mathias, and Ellie!
3) I have 3.5 weeks of teaching left (of this school year that is). Then we have testing (I only proctor), then summer school (which I will teach but it's only a month)!
4) I found a grad program I REALLY want to do and I don't have to take the GRE to get in! WAHOO!
5) I found out my school will pay for one of my praxis tests (I have to take three this summer and they are a bit pricy).
6) I got to play guitar tonight! (I didn't have time last night.)
7) Yoga is going really well. I think I will try to join a studio for the summer. :D
8) I love my new mint mud all natural (Terressentials) shampoo! It's SO nice! Makes my hair and scalp feel amazing.
9) I have gotten to spend my last four workouts at the gym with my BFF! :D
10) I've been helping with prom. It's been a little nuts on top of everything else I'm doing, but I feel great that the student who is in charge trusts me enough to ask for my feedback and help. It's this Friday.
11) The Nihon Matsuri is this Saturday in SLC. I'm really excited for it but also a little nervous. I am worried it will make me miss Japan even more. However, I am SUPER excited to go! I'll likely end up going with Abbey and her sisters. (Sort of means I don't have a weekend again - I haven't for a month or so where I just get to do nothing and unwind... but I LOVE Japan so I expect to have a lot of fun!)

Spring Break has arrived
1) I got a LOT done today. (I can't help but wish I had gotten more done, still I did a lot.)
2) I am almost halfway through my certification.
3) I have the rest of the year planned for all of my classes! WOOO!
4) I have half of a seven week plan done (for my certification and it's a BEAST). I can't wait to get it off my back.
5) I was able to donate today! My hematocrit was 40!!!
6) I got to play guitar.
7) I've gotten to watch TWO horror flicks (one on Saturday and one today).
8) I had popcorn with both my movies.
9) The essential oils I'm using are slimming me down! Love it!
10) I got to read for a little bit today.

Two in a row!
Oh man... looks like the same day because I published last night's so late. Oops.
1) I got to go to the Festival of Colors! (First time!)
2) I got to play guitar a long time today.
3) I bought myself some chocolate soft serve and it was delicious (really hit the spot).
4) I attended the Festival of Colors with some Deaf friends. It was AWESOME!
5) I had planned to get a lot more work done today but ended up going out with friends and then laying on the heating pad and talking to my bestie and watching some Night Gallery. I think, in hindsight, that was best. I needed to have an actual weekend of some sort. I'm so grateful for good friends who invite me out!

Night Owl
1) I am up far later than I meant to be - HOWEVER, I finished a document that took me quite a while. I wish I could express how happy I am to have finished it and another one.
2) I also am about a half week ahead on my certification course! (Which is fabulous news because of those two documents I mentioned I made... I am supposed to have 48 more done by next Wednesday. That is, obviously, not going to happen. My hard deadline is the fall but they may decrease the amount I need to finish as I have five times as many documents to generate as the other teachers. Cross your fingers and pray for me please! - The HOPE of maybe having less is a blessing.)
3) I have found this certification training to already be MUCH better than my last one. The moderator is very helpful and very empathetic. It's a HUGE blessing for me.
4) I applied for a grant for school supplies (specifically books).
5) I got to play some guitar today.
6) Today makes ONE YEAR that I haven't missed one gym workout. WAHOO!
7) I am so grateful for modern medicine.
happiness quote: “Leave behind the passive dreaming of a rose-tinted future. The energy of happiness exists in living today with roots sunk firmly in reality's soil.” ― Daisaku Ikeda

Oh no!
I'm not very good at posting everyday anymore. Sorry!
1) I started a course today that I need to do on top of my teaching and several documents I was asked to gather. My blessing is that I was able to complete 3 of the ten tasks due this week this evening. It's nice to start crossing things off that list.
2) One of the HUGE documents I've been putting together is about halfway done.
3) One of my students sincerely thanked me for helping him with his biology packets (he's working toward graduation).
4) After a test I gave last week one of my (f) students said I was pretty. Awww!
5) Tomorrow is the last day of classes for this week. Even though I have meetings on Friday and they present a different challenge I am happy that I will have a change in the routine.
6) I have started doing yoga and I am REALLY loving it.
7) I failed hematocrit today (was unable to donate plasma) but it's a blessing in disguise because to pass I have to drink a very small amount of water. So failing means that I have been drinking TONS of water today and I'm so grateful I was able to do that.
8) One of my students has decided to stop telling herself she's stupid and she's doing MUCH better in class. It's been so heartening to see her try. She said to me, "This is actually really easy!" I expressed my belief in her and thanked her for her hard work. Being a teacher is the best job ever!!
9) I got to see my BFF last night. Even though the circumstances were ugly, it was wonderful to spend time with her.
10) We made croque-monsieur and punitions in French class on Tuesday. They were all yummy!

Moab & being sick
1) I was getting sick before Moab and I'm sick now, BUT I wasn't really sick IN Moab so I'm grateful for that. :)
2) I got to go to Moab for the first time ever!
3) I did my very first two hikes... EVER.. and did great! (Going to the gym has paid off!)
4) I had an amazing burger up there (Spicy Jamaican).
5) The boys who rode in my car were low key. It was nice to have a dramaless ride and they even sang some of the songs I put on with me! :)
6) One boy said, "Driving with you is a thrill ride!" LOL I'm taking it as a compliment.
7) My sleep is better since being back in my own bed.
8) Yesterday started out very poorly but ended up well.
9) I got to do some reading yesterday. I neglected to take my book to Moab and missed it but I'm glad I got to read before I got back to work.
10) I had a nap while I was in Moab and a nap when I got back!
11) The car ride went quickly.
12) I got to play card games with some of the other instructors and some parents.
13) We get everywhere safely.

You can go around the world, and go to all the beautiful places, but never be happy, because happiness is something that you bring inside of you, it is not where you are or what you are looking at, but it is how you are and how you look at.” ― C.

A new week
1) I got to help and be with my sister for most of yesterday when she went to the hospital.
2) She's out today and feeling better and able to keep foods down. :)
3) I got an email from a missionary friend of mine.
4) I started my morning with yoga and it was AWESOME!
5) I'm feeling a lot more energy than I've felt in a long time. It's amazing! And I'm looking forward to going to the gym today too. :)
happiness quote: “I’ve come to think that flourishing consists of putting yourself in situations in which you lose self-consciousness and become fused with other people, experiences, or tasks. It happens sometimes when you are lost in a hard challenge, or when an artist or a craftsman becomes one with the brush or the tool. It happens sometimes while you’re playing sports, or listening to music or lost in a story, or to some people when they feel enveloped by God’s love. And it happens most when we connect with other people. I’ve come to think that happiness isn’t really produced by conscious accomplishments. Happiness is a measure of how thickly the unconscious parts of our minds are intertwined with other people and with activities. Happiness is determined by how much information and affection flows through us covertly every day and year.” ― David Brooks

Sorry for the neglect!
1) I got to donate plasma BEFORE school (so that's nice because it doesn't, thus, interfere with my workout).
2) I got a lot more sleep last night than I usually get.
3) I was able to run an errand before school which is GREAT because I promised my Spanish students I would bring them a foodz today. (And the reason I crashed so early last night and didn't go out is because I had a killer migraine.)
4) I found out I'm going to Moab with the school next week. I'm pretty stoked about that.
5) I only have one other teaching day this week! (Friday we have P/T Conferences)

SUNDANCE!

3) We got to have a Q&A with the directors! And three of the four main guys from the film.
4) I asked a question of one of them (in person afterwards) and he gave me a hug!
5) I got to drive some teachers up and it was really nice (relaxing). The drive (an hour each way) passed really quickly. It was nice!

A family day
1) I got to spend a lot of time with family today. :)
2) I had an amazing homemade peanut butter cookie today. Yum!
3) I read an entire novel. Glad I had time to do that (obviously it was light reading since I got through the whole thing - only 340 pages long).
4) It's nice to be able to read again. I survived for a long time by reading in Japan every single night and open moment and it was hard to not feel like I had burned myself out on it. (Especially since I had to sort of make do with what they had in English there. Which is fine - it was just hard.)
5) Andy and Simone came over for dinner (my sister and her husband).

1) I went out to a dead car this morning. Thankfully my dad was still around and was able to give me a ride to school.
2) He also returned to the house and put my keys in my car so that it could be towed.
3) My Spanish 2 kids are so accomplished! I'm so proud of them and their hard work.
4) I had some sunflower seeds today.
5) I was still able to make it to the gym.

Saturday & Sunday
1) I got to spend time with my two BFFs.
2) I got to have Cajun fries! I've been craving them for a LONG time so it was nice to go get some.
3) Abbey introduced me to a fun trivia game. I am not very good at it but I'm enjoying it a lot.
4) My mom gave me some Nutella for dessert today. Yum!
5) I am doing better with all this water (not going to the bathroom every two minutes).

in sorrow or in joy

Basketball!
1) I got to go to Abbey's team's game! :) That was fun to see the girls she's been coaching play.
2) I had a guitar lesson! I hadn't seen my teacher in a while and he gave me two hard songs. :D He has so much faith in me!
3) Snack is going so well (that is my part time job at the school)!
4) My classes went really well today. My ASL 2 class was CRACKING me up today. They were being goofy about situations and I almost spit my water all over the table because one boy kept making me laugh. It was a lot of fun. - One story about that boy. He misread his paper. He was supposed to act out needing change for the telephone. Instead he read, "Change for the telephone." So he mimed stripping and then redressing and then using the phone. We were all so confused until I realized what he had thought. There was a really big "OH!" when he realized what I meant. I ended up doing the charade for him and when I handed my money to the front desk to be changed, another boy goes, "Here you go!" and mimed putting the money in my hand rather than taking my money. Maybe you had to be there, but it was really funny for the rest of us.
5) I am helping with yearbook and finding that fun. :)

I'm SOOO helpful
1) I helped our receptionist with her paperwork. It was nice to be able to help her. :)
2) I got some chocolate from my boss.
3) One of my new students told me that my class goes really quickly and she loves the class.
4) One of my students drew his house with a giant room for me. Aww! (The other students had rooms too but theirs were very small, lol.)
5) I got a Food Handler's Permit today. Nice to have that in place again. :D

Snack Queen
1) I found out two of my coworkers are raving about my work. They said that in the two days that I've taken over doing the snack for the kids has been awesome. It's run smoothly and they are so excited at my take-charge attitude. ^ - ^
2) I had a meeting but was still able to go to the temple.
3) My meeting was really nice. I saw a friend I haven't seen in a really long time. They had all good things to say about me and I really appreciated that.
4) I ran into two other friends (one from Vivint and one from Japan) on BYU campus. :D
5) I got my last game I ordered for Christmas today. I can't wait to play them all!

Yesterday (Jan 5th)
1) Getting back to school was much better than I thought it would be.
2) My classes went super well.
3) Funny story: I was changing in the bathroom and totally forgot to lock the door (again). Another teacher walked in on my with my pants half pulled up. Oops! I wasn't embarrassed but I felt really badly for the other teacher.
4) Funny story: I wore my dark glasses because my eyes were hurting. My students would walk in and start making fun of me and then I would shame them. "Ha ha! Annik is SOOO cool." "Yes because I had eye surgery and smelled my own burning eye flesh." "Oh.. oh. Sorry." LOL So much fun!
5) I have new students and I'm really excited about it! :)

A wide margin of error

2) My sister painted my nails.
3) I got to play ball with my niece.
4) I am excited for some of the new students in my classes. :)
5) I am very tired so I know I will have a great night's sleep tonight. Which is very much needed.

The Holidays
I've been having trouble seeing since my surgery (with the healing of the top layer of my eye and everything) and with being single. Forgive me for falling behind. I will try to do better.
1) My family really helped me after my surgery.
2) My eyes continue to improve each day.
3) At the latest checkup for my eyes we found out my left protective lens had fallen out. Doctor: Has your left eye been hurting? Me: Ooooh yes. (And it REALLY, REALLY has.) Doctor: Huh. Well it's because your lens fell out at some point. - At least it's not because I'm going blind or something!
4) I finally am back to guitar. I couldn't read my music blind!
5) I have plans next week to go to a basketball game. Woooo plans!
6) I am taking myself to a horror flick tonight. I can't wait!
7) My pain goes down everyday and that's been great.
8) I got some school supplies I needed.
9) I am not emotionally ready for Monday, but my lessons are all planned so huzzah for that!
10) My BFF got me a really great Christmas present. She is amazing!
11) I found out my phone will read scriptures to me (I think I mentioned it before) - so now I'm having a lot more scriptures in my life. It's awesome!
