Oh man... looks like the same day because I published last night's so late. Oops.
1) I got to go to the Festival of Colors! (First time!)
2) I got to play guitar a long time today.
3) I bought myself some chocolate soft serve and it was delicious (really hit the spot).
4) I attended the Festival of Colors with some Deaf friends. It was AWESOME!
5) I had planned to get a lot more work done today but ended up going out with friends and then laying on the heating pad and talking to my bestie and watching some Night Gallery. I think, in hindsight, that was best. I needed to have an actual weekend of some sort. I'm so grateful for good friends who invite me out!

you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to
add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of
their pains.”

Night Owl
1) I am up far later than I meant to be - HOWEVER, I finished a document that took me quite a while. I wish I could express how happy I am to have finished it and another one.
2) I also am about a half week ahead on my certification course! (Which is fabulous news because of those two documents I mentioned I made... I am supposed to have 48 more done by next Wednesday. That is, obviously, not going to happen. My hard deadline is the fall but they may decrease the amount I need to finish as I have five times as many documents to generate as the other teachers. Cross your fingers and pray for me please! - The HOPE of maybe having less is a blessing.)
3) I have found this certification training to already be MUCH better than my last one. The moderator is very helpful and very empathetic. It's a HUGE blessing for me.
4) I applied for a grant for school supplies (specifically books).
5) I got to play some guitar today.
6) Today makes ONE YEAR that I haven't missed one gym workout. WAHOO!
7) I am so grateful for modern medicine.

Oh no!
I'm not very good at posting everyday anymore. Sorry!
1) I started a course today that I need to do on top of my teaching and several documents I was asked to gather. My blessing is that I was able to complete 3 of the ten tasks due this week this evening. It's nice to start crossing things off that list.
2) One of the HUGE documents I've been putting together is about halfway done.
3) One of my students sincerely thanked me for helping him with his biology packets (he's working toward graduation).
4) After a test I gave last week one of my (f) students said I was pretty. Awww!
5) Tomorrow is the last day of classes for this week. Even though I have meetings on Friday and they present a different challenge I am happy that I will have a change in the routine.
6) I have started doing yoga and I am REALLY loving it.
7) I failed hematocrit today (was unable to donate plasma) but it's a blessing in disguise because to pass I have to drink a very small amount of water. So failing means that I have been drinking TONS of water today and I'm so grateful I was able to do that.
8) One of my students has decided to stop telling herself she's stupid and she's doing MUCH better in class. It's been so heartening to see her try. She said to me, "This is actually really easy!" I expressed my belief in her and thanked her for her hard work. Being a teacher is the best job ever!!
9) I got to see my BFF last night. Even though the circumstances were ugly, it was wonderful to spend time with her.
10) We made croque-monsieur and punitions in French class on Tuesday. They were all yummy!

Moab & being sick
1) I was getting sick before Moab and I'm sick now, BUT I wasn't really sick IN Moab so I'm grateful for that. :)
2) I got to go to Moab for the first time ever!
3) I did my very first two hikes... EVER.. and did great! (Going to the gym has paid off!)
4) I had an amazing burger up there (Spicy Jamaican).
5) The boys who rode in my car were low key. It was nice to have a dramaless ride and they even sang some of the songs I put on with me! :)
6) One boy said, "Driving with you is a thrill ride!" LOL I'm taking it as a compliment.
7) My sleep is better since being back in my own bed.
8) Yesterday started out very poorly but ended up well.
9) I got to do some reading yesterday. I neglected to take my book to Moab and missed it but I'm glad I got to read before I got back to work.
10) I had a nap while I was in Moab and a nap when I got back!
11) The car ride went quickly.
12) I got to play card games with some of the other instructors and some parents.
13) We get everywhere safely.
happiness quote: “When I was in Piazza di Spagna, in Rome, I watched (along with others) how many locals came to drink water from the fountain there. The people beside me said to each other "Oh my goodness, how disgusting, people just drink water from anywhere," while the whole time, I was thinking "Oh my goodness, how wonderful, people can drink water from anywhere." We can be in the exact same place, looking at the exact same thing, but see that thing in a completely different way. You can go around the world, and go to all the beautiful places, but never be happy, because happiness is something that you bring inside of you, it is not where you are or what you are looking at, but it is how you are and how you look at.” ― C. JoyBell C.

A new week
1) I got to help and be with my sister for most of yesterday when she went to the hospital.
2) She's out today and feeling better and able to keep foods down. :)
3) I got an email from a missionary friend of mine.
4) I started my morning with yoga and it was AWESOME!
5) I'm feeling a lot more energy than I've felt in a long time. It's amazing! And I'm looking forward to going to the gym today too. :)
happiness quote: “I’ve come to think that flourishing consists of putting yourself in situations in which you lose self-consciousness and become fused with other people, experiences, or tasks. It happens sometimes when you are lost in a hard challenge, or when an artist or a craftsman becomes one with the brush or the tool. It happens sometimes while you’re playing sports, or listening to music or lost in a story, or to some people when they feel enveloped by God’s love. And it happens most when we connect with other people. I’ve come to think that happiness isn’t really produced by conscious accomplishments. Happiness is a measure of how thickly the unconscious parts of our minds are intertwined with other people and with activities. Happiness is determined by how much information and affection flows through us covertly every day and year.” ― David Brooks

Sorry for the neglect!
1) I got to donate plasma BEFORE school (so that's nice because it doesn't, thus, interfere with my workout).
2) I got a lot more sleep last night than I usually get.
3) I was able to run an errand before school which is GREAT because I promised my Spanish students I would bring them a foodz today. (And the reason I crashed so early last night and didn't go out is because I had a killer migraine.)
4) I found out I'm going to Moab with the school next week. I'm pretty stoked about that.
5) I only have one other teaching day this week! (Friday we have P/T Conferences)
